3. Processing of personal data and purposes of processing

a) When visiting the website

In principle, you can access our website without having to disclose any information about your identity. The browser used on your end device only automatically sends information to the server of our website to enable a connection to the website to be established. This includes referrer (previously visited website), requested website or file, browser type and browser version, operating system used, device type used, time of access, as well as your IP address in anonymized form (only used to determine the location of access). This data is temporarily stored in a log file and automatically deleted after 8 weeks.

The IP address is processed for technical and administrative purposes of connection establishment and stability in order to ensure the security and functionality of our website and to be able to prosecute any illegal attacks on it if necessary.

The legal basis for the aforementioned processing is Art. 6 para. 1 sentence 1 lit. f GDPR.

We cannot draw any direct conclusions about your identity from the processing of the IP address and other information in the log file.

Furthermore, we do not use cookies or other analysis services when you visit our website.

b) Contact us

You have the option of contacting us via the e-mail address or telephone number provided on our website. In this case, the data transmitted by you will be stored together with your e-mail address. The data will not be passed on to third parties.

The legal basis for the processing is Art. 6 para. 1 sentence 1 lit. f GDPR. You have the right to object to this processing as described under 7. In the event of an objection, your contact request may not be fully answered. We will delete the data if it is no longer required for the purposes pursued by us and no other legal basis applies. In compliance with contractual and/or statutory retention obligations, relevant data is stored for 10 years.

4. Links to other websites

Our website contains links to other websites. Websites and services of other providers to which our website refers are designed and provided by third parties. We have no influence on the design, content and function of these third-party services. This also applies to the integration and forwarding to our social media profiles (Facebook and Instagram). If you visit our profiles, we refer you to our separate data protection information for our social media presences.

b) External receivers

1. Processor

External service providers that we use for the provision of services, for example in the areas of technical infrastructure and maintenance or the provision of content relevant to agreements and contracts. These processors are carefully selected and regularly reviewed by us to ensure that the protection of your personal data is maintained. The service providers may only use the data for the purposes specified by us.

2. Public bodies

Authorities and state institutions, such as public prosecutors’ offices, courts or tax authorities, to which we must transfer personal data for compelling legal reasons.

3. Other positions

The project partners to whom data is transmitted on the basis of consent or a legal basis.

6. Third country transfer

In some cases, your data will be transferred to another body whose registered office or place of data processing is not located in a member state of the European Union or in another state party to the Agreement on the European Economic Area.

If there is no adequacy decision by the European Commission for the third country, we work towards an adequate level of data protection for the transfer of personal data outside the EEA by concluding appropriate agreements with the recipients, which are regularly concluded on the basis of the EU standard contractual clauses, before the data is transferred.

7. Rights of data subjects

You have the right:

  • in accordance with Art. 7 para. 3 GDPR, to revoke your consent to us at any time. As a result, we may no longer continue the data processing that was based on this consent in the future;
  • to request information about your personal data processed by us in accordance with Art. 15 GDPR. In particular, you can request information about the processing purposes, the category of personal data, the categories of recipients to whom your data has been or will be disclosed, the planned storage period, the existence of a right to rectification, erasure, restriction of processing or objection, the existence of a right to lodge a complaint, the origin of your data if it was not collected by us, and the existence of automated decision-making including profiling and, if applicable, meaningful information about its details;
  • in accordance with Art. 16 GDPR, to immediately request the correction of incorrect or incomplete personal data stored by us;
  • in accordance with Art. 17 GDPR, to demand the deletion of your personal data stored by us, unless the processing is necessary to exercise the right to freedom of expression and information, to fulfill a legal obligation, for reasons of public interest or to assert, exercise or defend legal claims;
  • in accordance with Art. 18 GDPR, to demand the restriction of the processing of your personal data if the accuracy of the data is disputed by you, the processing is unlawful but you refuse to delete it and we no longer need the data, but you need it to assert, exercise or defend legal claims or you have lodged an objection to the processing in accordance with Art. 21 GDPR;
  • in accordance with Art. 20 GDPR, to receive your personal data that you have provided to us in a structured, commonly used and machine-readable format or to request that it be transmitted to another controller, and
  • to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority pursuant to Art. 77 GDPR. As a rule, you can contact the supervisory authority of your usual place of residence or workplace or our company headquarters.

Information about your right to object in accordance with Art. 21 GDPR

You have the right to object, on grounds relating to your particular situation, at any time to processing of personal data concerning you which is based on point (e) of Article 6(1) GDPR (data processing in the public interest) and point (f) of Article 6(1) GDPR (data processing on the basis of a balancing of interests).

If you object, we will no longer process your personal data unless we can demonstrate compelling legitimate grounds for the processing which override your interests, rights and freedoms, or the processing serves the establishment, exercise or defense of legal claims.

8. Data security

All data transmitted by you personally is encrypted using the common and secure TLS (Transport Layer Security) standard. TLS is a secure and proven standard that is also used in online banking, for example. You can recognize a secure TLS connection by the s appended to http (i.e. https://…) in the address bar of your browser or by the lock symbol at the bottom of your browser.

We also use suitable technical and organizational security measures to protect your data against accidental or intentional manipulation, partial or complete loss, destruction or unauthorized access by third parties. Our security measures are continuously improved in line with technological developments.

9. Up-to-dateness and amendment of this data protection information

This data protection information is currently valid and was last updated in January 2025. It may be necessary to amend this data protection information as a result of the further development of our website and offers on it or due to changes in legal or official requirements.
