Reorganisation of the Wind-X project: Siemens Energy takes over as consortium leader

In the Wind-X project, Siemens Energy has moved from being an associated partner to a funded project partner and has taken over the consortium leadership. This gives Wind-X greater industrial depth and practical relevance for digital data exchange in the supply chain. The strengthened industrial participation gives the project additional momentum for the coming months.

A total of more than 20 companies from the wind value chain are involved in the project, including manufacturers, suppliers, operators and research institutions.

The aim of the project, which is funded by the Federal Ministry for Economic Affairs and Energy, is to develop a decentralised, cost-effective and efficient industrial data space for the wind industry in order to enable new digital business models for the use of plant data. In future, this data space will allow information to be exchanged without loss of control or authorship.
